German Masters 2015 – INVITATION

To the GERMAN MASTERS in Hamburg, 23-25 Jan 2015

Dear fellow Curlers,

On behalf of the German Curling Federation I am delighted to announce that Hamburg is going to host the 4^thGERMAN MASTERS on 23^rd – 25^th January 2015.

The tournament is part of the CURLING CHAMPIONS TOUR, offers a total purse of EUR 15.000 and will be played with 20 teams in the marvelous Curling Club Hamburg. Beside perfect playing conditions the demands of modern high performance athletes should be the base for our standards and we are focusing on making your participation at this event as comfortable as possible. The last time we were proud to offer a perfect testing field for 5 Olympic Teams (CHN, DEN, SUI, RUS and GER) just in advance of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi and welcomed all in all 20 international top teams out of 10 nations. In the 2014 Masters’ Final European Champion Team Michel-SUI defeated Team DeCruz-SUI (7:4) and won the Masters’ purse of EUR 6.000.

For your convenience the entree fee includes a “Happy Landing Reception”, Airport Shuttle, Catering in the Curling Club and a “Players Night” on Saturday for each player and one coach.

Due to a special arrangement with Lindner Park-Hotel Hagenbeck and Hotel Engel we are able to provide your accommodation within either 300m walking or 15min driving distance to the Club at a more than just fair rate including breakfast. Therefore we highly recommend your stay at the official hotels of the tournament.

Furthermore the generous planned playing schedule should allow you to enjoy the sights of Hamburg as well as plenty of time to prepare proper for each single match. In addition we offer 2 practice sessions on Thursday afternoon.

As we have already received a lot of entries, without even sending out the official invitation, we expect a high caliber field of 20 international top teams.

For all this, we would kindly ask you to fill out completely the attached “Entry Application Form” as soon as possible and let us know any extras (e.g. travel plans: arrival and departure times, airlines, etc.) you are thinking of.
